The Annual Children’s Story Festival was held Oct. 4 in the Esquimalt Town Square.
A partnership made of the Esquimalt Recreation Centre, Kiwanis Club of Esquimalt, Country Grocer and Esquimalt Neighborhood House worked together to provide the festival. Kiwanis served hot dogs, drinks juices and fruit leathers that were donated by Country Grocer.
Children also had the opportunity to do crafts at a table looked after by Neighborhood House. About 300 kids received books which were donated by the Kiwanis Club of Esquimalt. Children and adults heard a number of story tellers while they sat on hay bales under big tents.
